A 3-day, 512.6 kilometre (318.6 mile) individual ultra-endurance event which covers part of the Okanagan/Similkameen regions of British Columbia, Canada. Entry is limited to 30 solo participants and 5 relay teams (made up of either 2 or 3 people) and is by invitation only. The event started in Canada in 1993, following the format of the original Ultraman established in Kona, Hawaii in 1983. Check this out!

Saturday August 30 - Stage 1 - 10.0 km (6.2 mile) point to point swim starting in Penticton and finishing in Okanagan Falls, followed by 144.8 km (90.0 mile) bike ride, beginning in Okanagan Falls over the Richter Pass returning to Okanagan Falls.

Sunday August 31 - Stage 2 - 273.5 km (170 mile) bike ride, beginning in Penticton and ending in Princeton.

Monday September 1 - Stage 3 - 84.3 km (52.4 mile) double-marathon run from Princeton to Summerland.

Time Limits - Swim (Stage 1) must be completed in 6 hours plus bike in 12 hours total, bike (Stage 2) in 12 hours, run (Stage 3) in 12 hours.

Participants - Participants are expected from around the world as this is an international event. Each must be accompanied by an individual support team of at least two persons over the entire course. Individual resources: mental, physical and spiritual, are shared in an atmosphere where everyone can be a winner and the pursuit of human excellence is the fundamental rule of the road.

A number of the athletes competing in the Ultraman Canada event will require crew members to support them on the race course. The best crews are athletes who are considering Ultraman Canada in the future, however working at aid stations in other events in the past gives you good experience.
